S19. Advanced Data Governance in Office 365
The journey to the collaborative and governed cloud has been a long and winding road with bumps and hairpin turns. Users are frustrated, lawyers are concerned, and management is wondering where the payback is. 2018 looks like it will deliver the unified content governance that the market has been promised since AIIM put “enterprise” into enterprise content management. Gartner has now retired the term ECM, but the concept lives on in Content Services.
This session will describe how innovations in Office 365 related to governance, scalability, privacy and identity management have enabled Content Services on a global scale. Nishan DeSilva, Sr. Product Director at Microsoft with responsibility for the Advanced Data Governance and EDiscovery products in Office 365, will share his observations on where we have been and where we are going in Content Services in 2018.
