Tom served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of BASF Corporation from 1993 to 2004 and subsequently as Senior Counsel to Mayer, Brown. He was an early advocate of the need for amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure to achieve e-discovery reform and helped formulate the Sedona Principles. He currently co-chairs the E-Discovery Committee of the Lawyers for Civil Justice and the Steering Committee of the Sedona Conference® Working Group One and was an Editor of the Second Edition of the Sedona Principles. Mr. Allman resides in Cincinnati and New York City and received his J.D. from Yale Law School. He writes and speaks widely on e-discovery and recently delivered the keynote address at LEGALTECH2008.

Mike is the President of Gimmal Group, a leading ECM systems integrator. He serves on the 2007 AIIM Conference Committee, EmTAG, and Accreditation Committee, and is a member of the AIIM Board of Directors. Mr. Alsup co-founded two successful ECM companies, BSG Consulting and Align Solutions, and held senior management positions with Accenture and Booz, Allen & Hamilton. He has written dozens of articles and given hundreds of presentations on ECM topics.

Janice is CEO of Access Sciences Corporation, a 23 year-old information management professional services and technology firm headquartered in Houston, Texas. Janice attended the University of Texas at Austin where she earned a Bachelor's degree, and Florida State University, where she earned a Master's degree in library science. She worked in numerous library and information management settings prior to founding her company in 1985. Janice has spoken at numerous professional meetings including ARMA International and the Special Libraries Association. She currently serves as board president of Technology For All, a non-profit organization delivering technology to underserved communities.

Alan is president of Naremco, a management consulting firm founded by Emmett Leahy that has been providing records and information management services since 1948. During the past two decades, he has pioneered practical techniques to manage digital records and lectured on their application in Japan, China, Malaysia, and Europe. Alan is President of the Board of Regents of the Institute of Certified Records Managers and a member of the Certification Review Board of the National Association for Information Destruction, the NFPA's Technical Committee on Records Protection [NFPA 232], and ARMA's Strategic Planning and Professional Issues Committees.

Roger has more 29 years of experience in research and development, marketing and management in high tech. Before joining COPAN Systems, he consulted with several IT startups and small companies. Roger also held Vice President and General Manager positions at Hewlett Packard, Compaq, and StorageTek. Additionally, early in his career, he played a key role in the development and introduction of the HP LaserJet printer. As the VP and GM of Enterprise Storage Arrays at Compaq, Roger had worldwide responsibility of the Compaq StorageWorks storage solutions, and during this time, Compaq became the largest storage provider in the world. Roger is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a B.S. and M.S. in Engineering and an MBA from Boise State University.

Lori is a Senior Consultant with Cohasset Associates, Inc., where her focus is to provide a diverse group of clients with expert advice on the design, development and implementation of good records management strategies and practices. Lori is co-editor of the 2007 Cohasset/ARMA/AIIM ERM Survey White Paper and co-developer of the Assured Records Management (ARM) approach. She joined Cohasset in 2003 following her tenure as the Wisconsin statewide data, forms and records coordinator. Prior to government service, Lori worked in the energy sector for more than a decade as a business strategist, organizational development leader, and process owner.

Jerry is a founding partner of Buckley Kolar LLP. Jerry's practice focuses on the retail financial services industry with a concentration on federal and state regulation of financial transactions, including mortgage banking transactions. He assists clients in strategic development of financial products and services, including the electronic delivery of financial services. He represents industry trade associations on legislative and regulatory matters before the Congress and federal agencies and participates on behalf of the financial services industry in the preparation of amicus curiae briefs to the Supreme Court and other federal appellate courts. Chris is a Senior Consultant with Cohasset Associates. She has worked in the field of records and information management for the past 29 years. At Cohasset, she has been responsible for designing comprehensive records management programs for clients in a wide variety of industries. Since 1992, she has been Co-chair of the National Managing Electronic Records Conference (MER). A frequent speaker, her recent presentations have focused on electronic recordkeeping issues and strategies to incorporate electronic records management best practices into new and existing records management programs.

Tim joined Vedder Price's Litigation Practice Group in 1999. He is a Shareholder and has vast experience in handling a wide variety of commercial litigation matters through trial and arbitration, including those relating to securities fraud, misappropriation of confidential information and trade secrets, and other business tort & consumer actions. Mr. Carroll has counseled numerous clients, including a Fortune 5 company, a major defense contractor, several financial institutions and other Fortune 500 Companies, on adopting and implementing lawfully compliant records management programs and electronic communications policies. He also regularly consults with corporations and individuals on how to protect corporate assets, including employee relationships, confidential information and trade secrets, and consumer data.

Conni is a founding Partner and Director of Synercon management Consulting. Her industry and ECRM software product knowledge is founded upon more that 15 years of public and private sector experience as a records management consultant and trainer. She is regularly consulted by industry and government on the change management issues relating to electronic records and document management. Coni is a member of ARMA International, and a former board member of the Records Management Association of Australasia. Conni is also the designer and product manager for a.k.a. records classification and retention software - a product now used by over 300 organizations world wide including the Australian National Archives, British Petroleum, DuPont, and British and American Tobacco. a.k.a. was selected in 2005 by the QLD government for the whole of government development of thesauri and disposition schedules.

Susan is a Director in Gimmal Group's Enterprise Content Management services organization. Susan brings more than 25 years of experience in the records and information management field as a practitioner, educator, and consultant. She has successfully consulted with companies in multiple industries, including oil and gas, hospitality, healthcare, insurance, utilities, and government. Susan holds an M.L.S and Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from The University of Texas at Austin. She is a member of ARMA International, and in 2000 was named as one of ARMA's Company of Fellow award winners.

Jim is Managing Director of Huron Consulting Group where he is responsible for thought leadership in document and records management. Prior to joining Huron, Jim was founder and Principal of Records Improvement Institute. Involved in records management for over thirty years, Mr. Coulson is co-author of the second edition of Records Management Handbook. Jim is a Fellow of ARMA International and a recipient of the Emmett Leahy Award, highest award in the field of records and information management.

Jim is a partner with Redgrave Daley Ragan & Wagner, LLP (RDRW). His professional practice combines complex litigation experience with a strong technical background to help clients develop practical, legally defensible solutions to e-records compliance and e-discovery challenges. Jim is an effective "translator" and trusted advisor for clients, courts, counsel, records managers, compliance and privacy officers and information technologists. Paul is one of the country's leading experts in the field of data integrity and co-inventor of the patented ProofMark technology. He has worked in the security field for over 17 years and is an entrepreneur with experience in hi-tech product development and management. He is a master in developing and leveraging social capital to advance business objectives. He is active in ANSI and ABA information security committees, and has founded two Midwest networking organizations for entrepreneurs and technology leaders.

Karen manages the Records Management team at Prudential Financial, a leading financial services firm that offers a variety of products and services, including life insurance, annuities, retirement-related services, mutual funds, investment management, and real estate services. Karen's team is responsible for the development, implementation and management of the enterprise-wide Corporate Records Management Program, which must be flexible to meet the unique regulatory and business requirements of each of these diverse business units. One of her current roles is to stay in tune with Prudential's involvement in the IRS pilot program affecting its tax audit cycle, which may have considerable impacts on Prudential's management of electronic and physical records.

Ronke Ekwensi is the Senior Director of Records and Information Management at Pfizer Inc. responsible for Pfizer's global program. Prior to joining Pfizer, Ronke was a Senior Consultant providing complex, large scale program risk advisory services at Ernst and Young (E&Y). She also served as E&Y's Director of Document Retention/Records Information Management. In this role, she was responsible for defining and implementing E&Y's overall document retention and records management strategy, focusing on regulatory policy, technology enablement, compliance and litigation discovery support.

Dan is one of the nation's best known experts on Document Management technology. An AIIM Fellow, he created the industry's first formal needs analysis methodology. Mr. Elam is the founder and Vice President of eVisory Consulting where he manages Federal Document Services (FedDS), a joint venture to create jobs for people with disabilities within the document management industry. For AIIM Mr. Elam has served on the educational advisory committee, conference team, Emerging Technologies Group (EmTag), US Technical Expert to ISO, and as one of the industry's most popular authors and speakers.

Carol is the managing editor of Digital Discovery & e-Evidence, a monthly notification service published by BNA, Inc., that focuses on electronic records in litigation. In addition to regular appearances at MER, Carol has served on the Advisory Board for The Georgetown University Law Center's Advanced E-discovery Institute since its inception. She has a J.D. from Georgetown, and has spent most of her career in legal publishing.

Laurie is a Senior Consultant and Project Director with Cohasset Associates, Inc. She has developed and implemented all aspects of records management programs for many of Cohasset's largest Fortune 500 clients. Specializes in the financial services and pharmaceutical industries. Ms Fischer is nationally recognized as a leader in implementing corporate records management programs.

Dick is a Senior Consultant with Cohasset Associates, Inc. He is considered one of the pioneers in image and information management systems. His broad experience includes authoring all the Yankee Group industry studies on electronic imaging. Mr. Fisher is the Technical Advisor for "The Legality of Optical Storage."

Julie is President of Gable Consulting LLC, an independent firm that specializes in strategies and real-world approaches for managing electronic records. Now in its 19th year, the company serves clients in pharmaceuticals, government, financial services and other industries. Julie is the Associate Executive Editor of ARMA's Information Management Journal, and writes the e-service, NewsWire. Academic credentials are a BS in Management from Drexel University and an MBA in Finance from St. Joseph's University, both in Philadelphia. Since 1997 Genny has worked in the records management field holding analyst, consultant and project manager positions through a series of mergers and acquisitions. Her current position is Senior Manager, Corporate Records for Comcast Cable Corporation. With an employee base of 90,000 plus an additional 15 affiliate channels in approximately 40 states, developing a web-based training program that focused on current records management standards as well as addressing software and hardware needs was critical. With the philosophy that a customized approach is always possible, her team has moved from manual input to importing data in a consistent and standardized manner. Currently, they manage nearly 3 million documents - up from 350,000 in 2001 - in their records management system. Genny has been a member of ARMA since 1997 and has held the Administration Director position within the Mile High Denver Chapter of ARMA since 2004.

Baron is President of Innovative Corporate Solutions, a vendor-independent firm that provides consulting services for document management, records management, and financial services. He has more than 20 years of experience in information systems development, specializing in architecture, systems integration, and project leadership. Baron has extensive experience in developing enterprise-wide solutions and leading project teams in their implementation. Before founding ICS in 1995, Baron held positions with a large commercial insurer and Arthur Andersen. He recently concluded six years on the Board of AIIM International, the last three on its Executive Committee.

Judge Ronald J. Hedges is a member of the Nixon Peabody?s Business Litigation practice group. He has extensive experience in e-discovery and in management of complex civil litigation matters. Mr. Hedges was appointed in 1986 as a United States Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, where he served as the Compliance Judge for the Court Mediation Program, a member of the Lawyers Advisory Committee, and both a member and reporter for the Civil Justice Reform Act Advisory Committee. From 2001 to 2005 he was a member of the Advisory Group of Magistrate Judges. Mr. Hedges has also been an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University School of Law since 1993 and at Georgetown University Law Center since 2006.

Debbie is President of Compliance & Ethics Solutions (CES), which provides comprehensive consulting services to build, enhance or systematize legal compliance and reputational risk management programs and integrating those factors into business operations, leadership and culture. Prior to founding CES in 2004, Debbie spent almost 15 years developing and implementing compliance programs for companies, including 10 years in-house at AT&T, Lucent, Avaya and BP. She has written and lectured extensively on compliance and ethics issues. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Debbie supervised construction as an engineer for Exxon. Sandy is Program Manager for Electronic Content Management and Retention at the Rohm and Haas Company. For the past four years, Sandy has lead a team focused on designing, testing, and implementing an approach for identifying, storing, and protecting company records created in email. They have recently completed the successful rollout of their Managed Email approach to more than 6000 employees in the company's North American locations. Sandy is a professional librarian who is passionate about the disciplined management of metadata in corporate data sources. She has presented and published her theories and research internationally.

John is the Founder and CEO of Electronic Evidence Discovery, Inc. He has been called the "Best of the breed" of electronic discovery experts by the American Bar Association Journal and has been profiled on 20/20 and 60 Minutes and in the New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Business 2.0 and Wired magazines, among others. Mr. Jessen is a renowned leader in electronic evidence discovery and is the author of numerous articles and papers on the use of electronic data in litigation.

Lane is Counsel at the firm of Buckley Kolar LLP. She advises highly regulated companies on enterprise risk matters, including records management and data retention compliance programs. Lane has significant health care industry expertise, including health care finance, technology and e-commerce. Prior to joining Buckley Kolar, Ms. Macalester served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of RxHub, a health technology company owned by the three largest PBMs (Caremark, Medco and Express Scripts), which developed and implemented innovative e-health technology. Mr. Radke joined the Chicago office of Vedder Price in 1998. He is a Shareholder and a member of the firm's Litigation Practice Area. Hon. James M. Rosenbaum is Chief Judge of the United States District Court in St. Paul, Minnesota. He began his career in Chicago as a VISTA lawyer specializing in civil rights cases. On his return to Minnesota in 1972, he entered private practice, primarily as a trial lawyer. The Judge was appointed U.S. Attorney in 1981, followed four years later by his appointment to the United States District Court. Judge Rosenbaum is co-author of the U.S. Courts Design Guide, serving as a member of the Judicial Conference's Security, Space, and Facilities Committee from 1989-1996. He is a recognized authority on computer privacy issues, and the intersection of computers and the law. The Judge regularly consults with courts, judges, and architects on courthouse electronics, and frequently lectures on privacy and trial practice issues.

Reid is the enterprise content management Director of Marathon Oil Corporation. Dr. Smith has more than 30 years experience in information and knowledge management. Prior to joining Marathon, he was responsible for information solutions at Medstory (now Microsoft HealthVault). He also led the knowledge management program at Schlumberger. From 1999 through 2005, Ken was a Senior Education Attorney at the Federal Judicial Center (FJC) in Washington DC, where he developed Internet-based distance learning programs for the federal judiciary concentrating on issues of technology and the administration of justice. He continues to teach at the National Workshops for United States Magistrate Judges, sponsored by the FJC.
