Enterprise deployment of electronic records management (ERM) technologies is a formidable endeavor that fundamentally changes the execution of records management principles and directly impacts user behavior. Before investing in ERM, expand your knowledge of the "it can do" sales pitch through a Proof of Concept that delves into "how will it do it," which should include:
- Defining the Records Management and user processes and evaluating the impacts of change
- Determining how to leverage out of the box functionality
- Defining customization requirements
- Determining the RM deployment project timeline
Through a detailed, well-planned ERM Proof of Concept, your organization will uncover problem areas, as well as identify opportunities to improve your deployment techniques.
This session will help you understand the POC process and will enable you to:
- Describe the purpose and benefits of conducting a POC
- Prepare an appropriate scope for the POC, considering the technologies being evaluated
- Identify where the Proof of Concept (POC) fits into ERM deployment
- Define evaluation criteria that assesses some of the most critical ERM activities that are often barriers to achieving success
