Most organizations continue to struggle with an onslaught of electronic communications despite the technology solutions and implementation strategies available to mitigate costs and risks. Based on recent survey research, this session will examine messaging trends and explore why so many organizations lag in deploying archiving strategies to 1) meet their compliance and discovery requirements, 2) support user demands and 3) protect corporate knowledge.
The objective of this session is to provide information as to why archiving e-mail and other electronic content has come to be considered a "best practice" for organizations of all sizes and in all industries.
This session will help you to:
- Understand why e-mail archiving now is a "best practice" and is no longer an option
- Understand the key drivers for implementing email archiving
- Recent amendments to the FRCP
- Recent court decisions focused on interpreting these amendments?
- Develop a strategy for engaging senior decision-makers in a discussion of the merits of e-mail archiving
- Develop clear arguments on the several advantages of e-mail archiving and how it can help a variety of constituencies in most organizations, including legal, senior management, HR, finance and end users
- Persuade those who still believe that deleting all content from e-mail stores on a 30-, 60- or 90-day cycle is a better choice than archiving this content that the opposite is true.
