Bank of America has mandated an enterprise-wide conversion to a digital records environment starting with unstructured records – unless prohibited by law or other allowed exception.

To accomplish this, Bank of America developed a unique, comprehensive program to ensure trustworthy records and record-keeping systems and greatly reducing costs and risks.

Benefit from the strategies, challenges and lessons the bank has learned regarding:

  • Developing its business case and policy,
  • Securing executive support and funding,
  • Incorporating the business unit perspective,
  • Forming core working teams,
  • Establishing critical IT and other partnerships,
  • Developing a governance structure,
  • Incorporating legal, RM and business requirements,
  • Generating and administered assessment and certification processes,
  • Incorporating support for the e-discovery function,
  • Recommending/providing technology and business process solutions, and
  • Providing developed communication and training tools.
