Most Records and Information Management professionals agree that information needs to be managed according to the same rules – regardless of the medium.

Most RIM policies and practices, however, are predicated on physical and electronic information being managed within the borders of organizational control.

Technologies such as cloud computing and social networking; because they eliminate the traditional control points for security, privacy, compliance, and availability of their information assets; soon will radically change the conventional view of information and how it is managed.

Does this foreshadow the imminent demise of records and information management as we know it?

This Town Hall style session will involve the participants in an informative interactive exchange – between practitioners attending the session and prominent experts in:

  • Records management,
  • Information privacy,
  • Law
  • Security and
  • Information technology.

Key issues will be probed.

Solutions will be considered for their practicality.
