Make your RIM program RELEVANT!

Roll-up your sleeves and join us for a hands-on, engaging workshop that will teach you a new way to focus your RIM effort!

What is Assured Records Management? Simply put, Assured Records Management (ARM) is a methodology developed by Cohasset Associates to enable you to:

  1. Apply appropriate records and information management performance standards
  2. Align with business priorities
  3. Enable your organization to “get it right where it matters most”

You will leave the session equipped with an understanding of the ARM advantage and the tools and processes needed to create a credible and effective RIM strategy and program which:

  • Establishes evidence of the “good faith effort” the courts and regulators expect
  • Increases business value and reduces risks immediately
  • Secures the commitment of Legal, Compliance, IT and Business Management
  • Ensures reasonable and sustainable improvement over time

The five modules of the ARM methodology will provide you with tools and techniques that will help you:

  • Align your records program with your organization’s business strategy, risk tolerance, and culture;
  • Gain consensus and understanding among essential cross-functional stakeholders (business, Legal, RIM and IT);
  • Develop a targeted business case to explain how an improved RIM program will specifically benefit your business;
  • Engage senior management and other stakeholders in the process to ensure their support, and
  • Create a specific, prioritized action plan for near-term benefit and continuous, ongoing improvement.

Participants of this workshop will enjoy a lively and interactive day, participating in real-time exercises to experience the methodology in action. We will share ideas to help you identify opportunities in which ARM techniques may be just what you need to help you take your program to the next level.

The Honorable Ronald J Hedges will also be present and share with you his opinions about how organizations that adopt the ARM methodology are, indeed, demonstrating a good faith effort for managing their information assets. As a participant you will receive a copy of the five module ARM workbook :

  1. Facing the Records and Information Management Business Challenge
  2. Introducing the ARM Framework
  3. Aligning ARM to Business Priorities
  4. Assessing Current State Records Management Capabilities
  5. Applying the ARM Strategy and Charting the Path Forward
