Elizabeth is currently the Manager of Archives Services at the Ford Motor Company, where she has worked to reengineer their corporate archives program and establish a worldwide network of Ford Motor archival repositories. She has held office in many professional organizations, such as the Academy of Certified Archivists and the Society of American Archivists.

Former General Counsel, BASF Corporation

Tom served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of BASF Corporation from 1993 to 2004 and subsequently as Senior Counsel to Mayer, Brown. He was an early advocate of the need for amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure to achieve e-discovery reform and helped formulate the Sedona Principles. He currently co-chairs the E-Discovery Committee of the Lawyers for Civil Justice and the Steering Committee of the Sedona Conference® Working Group One and was an Editor of the Second Edition of the Sedona Principles. Mr. Allman resides in Cincinnati and New York City and received his J.D. from Yale Law School. He writes and speaks widely on e-discovery and recently delivered the keynote address at LEGALTECH2008.

Janice attended the University of Texas at Austin where she earned a Bachelor's degree, and Florida State University, where she earned a Master's degree in library science. Ulf is with the Information Systems Group at Astra AB, a Swedish pharmaceutical company. His work is focused on the long-term management of electronic records. In cooperation with the Swedish National Archives, Dr. Andersson has directed the development of a unique way to archive records electronically so that their long-term usability and maintainability are ensured while also preserving their evidential value.

Alan is president of Naremco, a management consulting firm founded by Emmett Leahy that has been providing records and information management services since 1948. During the past two decades, he has pioneered practical techniques to manage digital records and lectured on their application in Japan, China, Malaysia, and Europe. Mr. Baum is also the chairman of the committee that drafted the American Bar Association's "Digital Signature Guidelines."

David is president of Archives & Museum Informatics, a Pittsburgh-based consulting firm. Mr. Bearman proposed the "Guidelines for Electronic Records Management Policy" that were adopted by the United Nations Administrative Coordinating Committee on Information Systems in 1990. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA)

Archivist of the United States, Mr. Carlin is the head of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). As the nation's recordkeeper, NARA's mission is to ensure for the citizen and the public servant, for the President and the Congress and the Courts, ready to access to essential evidence. Follwing his appointment by President Clinton in 1995, Mr. Carlin launched a strategic directions initiative that clarified NARA's mission and values and developed a vision of theagency's role in the 21st century. Among the major achievements of this vision are ncreased resources for direct assistance to Federal agencies for records management, an integrated approach to addressing the challenges to electronic records, and a project to completely reengineer the records appraisal and scheduling process in the Federal givernment. Prior to join NARA, Mr. Carlin has a distinguished carrer in politics. In 1971 he was elected to the legislature of the State of Kansas, where he served as speaker of state's House of Representatives. From 1978 to 1987, he served as the Governor of Kansas and was elected Chairman of the National Governors Association in 1984 - 85. Following his political career, Mr. Carlin joined the faculty of Wicita State University, teaching graduate courses in public administration. He also served as CEO of Midwest Superconductivity and as partner in Clark Publishing Company in Topeka. In 1987, Mr. Carlin received an honorary Doctor of Law degree from his alma mater, Kansas State University.

Mr. Dietel's professional career has been principally with the Central Intelligence Agency where he was Associate General Counsel for many years. Daniel Patrick Moynihan United States Courthouse

Hon. James C. Francis IV has been a United States Magistrate Judge in the Southern District of New York since October 1985 and served as Chief Magistrate Judge from 1998 to 2000. He graduated summa cum laude from Yale College in 1974, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He received his juris doctor degree from the Yale Law School in 1978 and a masters degree in public policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in the same year.

Following graduation from law school, Judge Francis clerked for the Honorable Robert L. Carter in the Southern District of New York. In the field of electronic data and the law, Judge Francis is the author of Rowe Entertainment, Inc. v. William Morris Agency, 205 F.R.D. 421 (S.D.N.Y. 2002), a case involving procedures for electronic discovery and the allocation of costs. He participated in a colloquium concerning discovery of electronic data under the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure coordinated by the Civil Rules Advisory Committee of the Judicial Conference of the United States. Earlier this year, he gave the keynote address at a conference on the discovery of computerized information in New York City and provided training in electronic discovery issues to the New York State Attorney General's Office.

Judge Rosenthal presides over a United States district court in Houston, Texas. She is a graduate of the University of Chicago, both undergraduate and law degrees, and clerked for the Honorable John R. Brown, Chief Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. After 14 years in private practice in Houston, Judge Rosenthal was nominated to the bench by President George H. Bush and received her district court commission in 1992.
